TPS SENSOR PROBLEM ON EFI ENGINE
Symptoms and How to Check Damaged Sensor TPS, Overcome Engine Stagnation, - Sensor TPS functions to detect or read the position of the accelerator and send it to the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The ECU then uses this information to determine the ratio of the mixture of air and fuel by adjusting the length of time the injector injects fuel. If the TPS sensor is damaged, it will certainly make the engine unable to run properly and smoothly
Symptoms Due to Damaged Sensor TPS
The following symptoms are those that occur due to throttle position sensor that is damaged or not functioning:
A. There is a delay in vehicle acceleration
This can be recognized when you press the accelerator, where your car should be able to accelerate responsively immediately, but the time between after the gas pedal is pressed and the acceleration of the speed of your vehicle does not run spontaneously.
B. There was an increase in the engine RPM by itself
If when you drive your vehicle and suddenly an increase in engine RPM by itself, is one of the characteristics of TPS sensor damage.
C. Transmission Gearshift Difficult
If the TPS sensor is not working properly so that it cannot provide accurate information on the position of the accelerator valve opening in the throttle body to the ECU, it will have an impact on the disruption of the transmission system, especially if your vehicle uses an automatic transmission, where the gear shift when increasing or decreasing speed doesn't work as it should
