ANTI LOCK BREAKING SYSTEM

Safety factor in driving a car, being one of the main criteria at present, among the middle-class vehicle buyers and over. Currently, every car manufacturer, compete in putting the technology support, from the safety of the passengers and the driver.
One of the technologies in use is ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). This system is already applied in security technology Toyota Indonesia, and one of them who get the ABS system is the Toyota Rush. Then you surely ask, how do ABS brakes? The answer will be the way of working the brakes ABS, I will write on this page.
ABS (Anti-lock Breaking System)
At the time of sudden braking at high speeds, or when rain made the road slippery. Surely you would have difficulty in performing sudden braking. The wheels were locked and the car is difficult to be controlled. Anti-lock braking system, which will help you, in sudden braking, and assist you in controlling the car if brakes suddenly.
This system already applied a long time ago mainly for racing. Without this system, professional driver, also has difficulty in controlling the car, if sudden braking. Every driver on the highway will surely avoid doing sudden braking, but circumstances sometimes forced drivers to brake suddenly. If your car is not equipped with an ABS system, then the province of the wheel will be locked.
This resulted in the car still glides and hard to control. In theory, this system avoids the province against locking wheels, with wheels that are not locked, the car is more easily controlled. In addition, all parts of car tires will do the braking, which can avoid the hot tires. All this will make the braking distances become shorter and bite the tires still you get.
Anti Lock Breaking System Component
1. Speed sensors
The sensor function to read the speed of rotation of the wheel, there are in each wheel or in the differential (depending on manufacturer).2. Braking Valves
In each track, there is a brake oil valve, and the valve is controlled by a computer/ABS controllers. In general, the brake valve has three different positions.Valve position one: in this position, the valve in the fully open position, so that the brake oil pressure in full, immediately forwarded to the brakes.
Two-Position valve: in this position, the valve will prevent the brake oil pressure, so that the pressure will not be forwarded to break even though the driver presses the brake.
Three-Position valve: in this position, the valve will prevent most of the brake oil pressure, so the pressure is only half of that is passed on to the brakes, even though the driver presses the brake.
3. Pump
The function of these pumps is the return line pressure on the braking released by the valve to break.
4. Controller/computer
The function of this tool is the brain that control valves and process data from speed sensors.
How To Work ABS Brakes Car
Speed sensor will read the speed of the car at any time, and pass the data on to the speed controller. For the car stopped normally at speeds of 100 kilometers per hour, it will take time for 5 seconds. Of course, when you do a normal braking, wheel locking will not occur. Another story if you do sudden braking, then the wheel will be locked. Take to the wheel locked in approximately 1 seconds.
Because the controller had been on the program, to be able to stop the vehicle to the maximum, lock wheels while braking should not happen. Before the wheels are locked, the controller will get data from speed sensors and will command valve blocking pressure, by taking a two-position valve or valve position 3, the corresponding command from the controller.
After the wheel spin is detected by the sensor, speed controllers will instruct the valve to take the position of one, which makes the brake oil pressure back and forward to break the brake work. how ABS above happens very quickly, the average car on the ABS system now, being able to do the process 15 times in 1 second.
Thus the basic workings of ABS brakes, of course, every car has different systems and components, in accordance with the capability and performance of the car and the selling price of the car.
